Hatha Yoga

Level: all levels

Class setting: Hatha Yoga is the foundation for all other forms of physical yoga. In this class you will practice the most common classical yoga postures (asanas) as well as breathing and relaxation techniques at a relatively relaxed pace.

Benefits: Hatha Yoga classes develop body strength and flexibility in a balanced way, as well as help detoxify the body and release tension caused by stress.

Midday Flow

Level: for all levels

Class design: The midday yoga class is designed to provide the body with the all-round movement it needs, which is particularly lacking in sedentary workers. The rhythm of the class is fluid, each movement, the transition from one pose to the next, is connected by breath. This helps to "disconnect" the mind from the whirlwind of thoughts from the working day. The class ends with a restorative full body relaxation.

Benefit: Midday yoga will help you to replenish your energy and be productive in the second half of the day. The class is like a small "restart" in the middle of the day. After the class, your mind will be more relaxed, your perception will be clearer and you will feel an extra surge of energy in your physical body.

Jivamukti Open Class

Level: all levels, but must have previous yoga experience. Although Jivamukti Open is a physically challenging practice, it is open to yogis of all levels. You will be able to practice at your own intensity, following the verbal guidance and manual assistance of the teacher. The class offers asana variations for different levels. If you are beginner look for Open Light class.

Class sequence. The class, according to the Focus of the month, offers classical yoga teachings covering both in-class and out-of-class practice, chanting of mantras and ancient scriptures, mindful breathing, vigorous flowing sequences of postures (vinyasa), explanation of postures, assisting, relaxation and meditation. Diverse, eclectic music also plays an integrative role.

Benefits: Jivamukti Yoga is a practical method that teaches how the spiritual values of yoga can help us to overcome everyday challenges, experience more joy, compassion and well being. It is a physically, intellectually and spiritually stimulating practice that combines the powerful physical vinyasa style of yoga with 5 basic tenents: ahimsa (non-violent, compassionate lifestyle), bhakti (devotion), dhyana (meditation), nada (deep listening), shastra (study of ancient scriptures).

Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior

Level: prior yoga practice is recommended

Class routine: Spiritual WarriorTM is a brisk, guided, led vinyasa class in which the teacher calls out the asanas and provides the breath count, but gives minimal instruction as to how to do the various asanas. The class offers a well-rounded practice as a set sequence that includes a warm-up, the setting of an elevated intention, chanting, surya namaskar, standing asanas, twists, balances, backward bending, forward bending and inversions, as well as meditation and relaxation, and is designed to be completed in one hour. Thus, it is suitable for those who have limited time to devote to a yoga practice, for those who are looking for a workout to “shape up” physically, and for those who are looking to include an intense asana practice in a manageable daily routine. Because it is a fixed sequence that is always the same, a student has the opportunity to progress to the level of mastery by committing to a consistent, steady, regular sadhana.

The first few classes may seem overwhelming, but with time and steady practice, progress will inevitably come. The Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior 1-hour sequence is a comprehensive yoga class that transforms, invigorates and energizes, while at the same time grounding and leading the student inward on an exploration of the deeper spiritual aspects of the self.

Benefit: The practitioner receives comprehensive practice in just one hour

Ashtanga Vinyasa for Beginners and Self Practice

Level: for beginners or yogis who have not practised Ashtanga Vinyasa; Self practice - for those with experience in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

Class Procedure. It is physically challenging and dynamic. During the class, a set sequence of asanas (postures) are performed, which do not change and are repeated every class. They are combined with conscious breathing. The practice is based on Tristan: Ujjayi breathing technique, Bandha - energy locks and Drsti - directing the gaze. This trinity principle is the key that connects the body to the mind, making simple exercise a state of flow. In the beginners class, the teacher guides through the sequence of poses, paying attention to the correct execution of the postures and introduces breathing techniques. After 4-7 beginner classes, the yogi can attend a self-practice, where everyone performs the sequence of poses at their own pace and rhythm. The teacher assists in the execution of the poses and suggests variations.

Benefits: develops strength and flexibility, frees the mind.
